Summer Day
12:00 p.m. : Wake up, peer out the window to realize that the sun is already up. Scroll through your phone for about 45 minutes before realizing that it’s almost one o’clock in the afternoon. Finally you drag yourself out of bed.
1:30 p.m. : You’ve showered and now it’s time to decide what to wear. You settle on a cute sundress which makes it look as if you tried, when in reality you were just too busy to match two pieces of clothing. You apply light makeup including a summery eye shadow such as pink or purple that matches your dress.
2:00 p.m. : You make your way to the kitchen and take your precious time whipping up a nutritious omelette and a strawberry banana smoothie. You then proceed to watch some episodes of the TV show you’ve decided to binge watch this summer such as One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl.
4:00 p.m. : This is the point in the day where you start texting your friends to see if anything if going on that glorious Monday night.
5:00 p.m. : Your parents arrive home and comment on the fact that you’ve probably sat on the couch all day and have not vacuumed, to which you reply that you actually had  had a very productive day.
6:00 p.m. : You and your friends decide to catch a movie, go to someone’s house, go to a party, etc. This is when you begin to get ready and eat some chips before you head out for the first time that day.
7:00 p.m. : You remember how great it is that it’s summer and you can go out whenever you want.
11:00 p.m. : You come back to your house after your festivities and contemplate whether you should go to bed and try to get a start on developing normal sleeping patterns.
3:00 a.m. : You’ve spent the last four hours on social media and Netflix where you begin questioning your sanity and wondering what will happen when you get back to school. You then go downstairs to whip up some late night (or early morning depending on how you look at it) brownies.
6:00 a.m. : Oh the sun’s coming up. You should probably get to bed.

School day
6:00 a.m. : You wake up to that nasty blaring alarm after you’ve repeatedly hit snooze until you realize there’s no way you will make it to that 8:30 class unless you wake up right this second.
6:30 a.m. : You’ve spent the last half hour checking updates on your phone incase something life changing happened while you were asleep. You drag yourself into the bathroom and shower as an attempt to snap yourself out of that zombie sleep phase.
7:00 a.m. : You scrounge together some sweatpants and a tee-shirt that look acceptable, or if you’re really  feeling energetic that morning maybe even a pair of leggings and an oversized tee shirt. You plaster your face with cover up and foundation to make you look human and swipe on some mascara and  tinted chap stick.
8:00 a.m. : You run to the bus in order to catch it for  class with a nutritious breakfast consisting of a chocolate chip granola bar in hand.
8:30 a.m. : You’ve made it to class on time, barely, but are really regretting not leaving that extra time to stop and get your morning double double from Tim Horton’s.
10:00 a.m. : You’ve only fallen asleep in class twice and now you can finally get that coffee and go to the library where you’ll  pretend to study until your next class. This continues until your classes are done for the day. In the middle you stop at the cafeteria to grab a bag of chips and a coke. You can’t spend too much money on food, but you need something to keep you going.
4:00 p.m. : Finally you’re done for the day and it’s time to bus home. You arrive home and take a quick power nap.
6:00 p.m. : It’s dinner time. If you live at home this is when you get to talk about how tired you are and what a busy day you had while your parents tell you wait until the real world. If you don’t live at home, you scramble to fix yourself somewhat of a balanced meal. Kraft Dinner is a suitable solution, right? After dinner you meet up with your friends for maybe an hour at the nearest Starbucks in order to convince yourself that yes,  you do still have a social life.
9:00 p.m. : You return home and begin your readings and school work, promising yourself that tonight you will get enough sleep.
11:00 p.m. : You never have enough hours in a day and this is when you turn to your best friend: the coffee maker.
2:00 a.m. : If you go to bed now you can still get 4 hours of sleep.Â
