There are many articles online that discuss unhealthy romantic relationships, but few cover toxic friendships. Here are the signs you are in a toxic friendship:
1. They’re envious of you. They don’t celebrate your successes with you and instead undermine you and your interests.
2. They never apologize to you. They refuse to acknowledge when they’ve hurt you and admit when they were wrong.
3. They don’t respect your personal boundaries. No matter how many times you tell them to respect your privacy and personal space, they refuse to respect it.
4. They gossip about you. You constantly hear from other people about the negative things they have said about you and that they are constantly putting you down.
5. They are not supportive. They ridicule and belittle your aspirations.
