How I Feel About Astrology

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWindsor chapter.

I read my weekly horoscope every Monday morning. I don’t necessarily believe all of it… but I do believe there is some truth to it. There has to be!

I remember about a year ago I read my horoscope Monday morning and it said something about me receiving good news or good financial news. Later that morning, as I was getting ready for school, I heard back from a restaurant I had applied to and they offered me a job! Coincidence or not, I believe the stars aligned perfectly that week.

There is no way that horoscopes can true because no one can predict exactly what will happen. However, I definitely believe in the Zodiac signs to a certain degree. I am a Virgo. Virgos are analytical, meticulous, and organized. They love being connected to nature and reading, among other things. Virgo is an earth sign. I 100% identify with almost every trait and characteristic of my sign.

It is true that weather patterns can deeply affect our mood and emotions and I believe the same is true for cosmic patterns. So, when your horoscope says “X planet is moving X way this week” I believe that will definitely affect some aspect of your life. After all, gravity does affect the weather patterns so it’s possible that it could affect our behaviour patterns as well.

The stars and planets were aligned a certain way the night you were born. The forces emitted by those stars and planets can affect many other elements of our world so they must affect us someway, even if the effects are minimal.

I know many people won’t agree with me but some things are too coincidental to simply be left to chance.
