Have you ever wanted to have a spa day but haven’t had the time, don’t know where to go, or don’t want to break the bank? Well you can create your own spa day at home! For your at-home spa day, you will need: either a bubble bar or bath bomb, tea, honey, sugar, coconut oil, cute nail polish, snacks, and access to your fave movies. Ā

Prep the Bathtub

Start off by prepping the tub by cleaning out the bathtub and filling it up with water of your prefered temperature. For more of a relaxing effect, dim the lights and light some candles

Ā

Music

A major key to ā€˜me time’ is playing your favourite songs. Whether your preferred genre is country, pop, EDM, or classical, there is nothing better than a fine tune playing.

Ā

Bath time

Once you have set up the tub, go ahead and add a bath bomb or a bubble bar. Bath bombs not only smell great, but they dye the water pretty colours! On the other hand, bubble bars are fun because they turn into a luxurious bubble bath! You can even add natural ingredients that you already have in your house. For some skin care benefits you can either add two cups of honey to moisturize your skin or add 3-5 tea bags in the bath water to detox your skin.

Ā

Exfoliate

You don’t need a store-bought scrub to exfoliate your skin. My tip is to put sugar into a bag, add some coconut oil, and mix the two substances together to create your own exfoliator!

Ā

Hair Care

Coconut oil is a multi-use product and it has been a popular topic that circulates the beauty world on the web. Try not to be too shocked when I tell you that you could make your own hair mask with coconut oil and honey. Talk about a deep conditioning!

Ā

Paint Your Nails

Next, pick out a pretty nail polish colour. For a little extra glam you can paint your ring finger with glittery nail polish as an accent nail, create nail art with a simple design, or place some cute nail decals on. Don’t forget to paint your toes!

Ā

Movie Night

End the night right with a movie and snack! Check out a list of recent movies or select an old favourite. Netflix, Youtube, Letmewatchthis, or Apple TV has got you covered!

So the next day you find yourself having some free time on your hands, pencil in a spa day. It’s always fun to treat yourself!
