Branch out

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWindsor chapter.

Branch out; to expand or extend one’s interests.

As finals are creeping up on everyone and the semester is coming to an end, now is a good time to sit back and and think about your plans for the summer. Whether that includes writing a list, jotting down a mental list, or even booking a flight to your next adventure, do it.

Everyone says, “This summer’s gonna be the best yet!” but in reality the majority of us end up sleeping in everyday and watching TV. Why not change it up by doing something different this year? This summer, we want you to “branch out.” Now, it doesn’t have to be anything super fancy; just do the little things you’ve always done, but more of it. Go out with friends more often, reunite with old friends, look for a new favourite cafe, go on a lunch date, pick up on your favourite sport or activity, go on a late night adventure, or play an instrument you haven’t laid hands on in forever. The endless possibilities are neverending. Most of all, it’s important to make your own little cheesy bucket list and spend some time exploring your interests and hidden talents.
