This one’s for all of us coffee lovers. Whether you like iced coffee, black coffee, double doubles, really anything and everything, here are 5 fun facts you should know as a coffee lover:
1. The first webcam was created to check the status of a coffee pot. This is something all of us coffee lovers wish we had.
2. It has been estimated it would take 70 cups of coffee to kill a 154-pound person.
This one’s for all the people that tell you that you drink too much coffee. If you didn’t drink 70 cups then it isn’t too much.
3. It will take over a day to fully eliminate the caffeine from your system.
This is why most of us drink coffee once a day. Yesterday’s cup has already worn off!
4. In the 17th century Ottoman Empire, drinking coffee was punishable by death.
This fact is just to remind us to be thankful for our socially-accepted coffee addiction.
5. Americans spend an average of US $1,092 on coffee each year.
