Ah, Spring Break! The wildest time in a college person’s career unless you are like me and have absolutely no plans. I am a senior in college and this is essentially my final big Spring Break. A normal college student would have made super amazing plans. However, no plans have been made and I will be stuck at work to pay for my summer plans. LET’S GO SUMMER 2019!

But what do I do when I have no plans besides working? I am glad you asked because besides working, I do plan to enjoy my Spring Break to its fullest potential. Even if you are not traveling to some exotic location, IT IS OKAY! There are many fun activities to do when you are staying home for the break. Here are my top five activities to do.

1. Participate in some Spring cleaning.

I know that you are probably like, that ain’t it sis. However, understand the many things that you can find when you clean out your room or change up decor that you’ve had since you were ten. You might find that old yearbook, old shirt deep in the closet or whatever you find who knows it could hold some value. When you are done, see how you feel and I am sure you will very accomplished.

2. Go to some concerts.

As Spring approaches, there are many chances to see some of your favorite and new artists. I know, for myself, I love finding new artists. I plan to attend a few concerts while I am home. Try linking up with some of your friends that you know are staying in town and go explore. You never know the potential of something until you try.

3. Take up a new hobby.

It is never too late to take up a new hobby! I live near Atlanta and the city is endless in all of its opportunities. Wherever you live, take advantage of the life that is in your immediate surroundings. There are also some apps that can help you focus into your interest. Whether you have the Apple store or Playstore, get to downloading and get out and enjoy.

4. Read a good book.

There is no such thing as a bad book… just kidding! I know that reading is not all that common. However, there is a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment when reading a book cover to cover. Head to your local bookshop or to the library and immerse yourself into some “you” time and whatever reading you are interested in.

5. Sleep. Get some sleep.

At this point in the semester, we are all exhausted. We need some TLC! To simply put it, get some sleep during Spring Break. Instead of going on vacation and being jet-lagged or whatever, you would have gotten sleep and can finish out the semester out strong.

I am senior Mass Communications Major, who has a passion to change the world one woman at a time. I grew up in a diverse family that has allowed me to be very open-minded when approaching situations. I love anything chocolate without nuts. Furthermore, my fav snack are cookie dough bites. I am pretty much an open book when it comes to conversation. If you ever get a chance to talk to me I'd probably talk your ear off.
