Remember the days when Netflix was a DVD-renting company, that shipped out movies to you? Well, how times have changed! Netflix has completely changed the TV watching game (ie. binge-watching), providing a crazy amount of tv shows and movies. Something they’ve also started in the last few years are Netflix Originals, which are shows made by Netflix. I bet many people were skeptical about it at first (including myself). But Netflix Originals proved me wrong, so I thought I would share my top pick Netflix Original shows.
1. Stranger Things: if you know me, then you know this show is a must-watch. Adorable kids, a scary monster thing, an alien child… it doesn’t get any stranger than that.

2. Atypical: this show is about a high school student who has autism, as he journeys his way through school, work, and girls. It’s so cute, and if you find yourself crying at some points of the show, same.

3. On My Block: this show just came to Netflix last month, and I’m already finished with it and hoping that it gets picked up for another season. On My Block follows 4 high school freshman from a rough town in California as they embark on this new journey and stick together through it all. Not to mention, the crazy cliffhanger. Netflix, please make season 2 ASAP.

4. Alexa & Katie: this show is about two best friends journeying through their first year of high school, as one of them is undergoing cancer treatment. It’s a really sweet show about family and friendship, and I recommend it.

5. Girl Boss: this is for all my fashionistas out there: this show follows the life of author and fashion mogul Sophia Amoruso in her days prior to making it big time. It follows an interesting storyline (with true events), and Britt Robertson does a great job playing Amoruso.
