You’ll be chilling over winter break but that doesn’t mean you can’t relax while doing something related to school! Here are a few Netflix shows that you can watch on break while not totally being out of the loop from school.
1. Chemistry: Breaking Bad Did you know Hydrofluoric acid completely dissolves a dead body? Yeah, if you’re a chemistry major you’ll love this one. It’s about a high school chemistry teacher who synthesizes ultra-pure methamphetamine as a way to earn money for his family before he dies of lung cancer.
2. Political Science: House of Cards
This one was easy. There’s constant political drama happening in this award-winning show. It portrays all the corruption and lies happening in American politics.
3. Pre-law: Suits
This show is more serious, but can be funny at the same time. It shows what it’s like to be a lawyer, so you can really learn and gain insight when watching this.
4. Psychology: Brain Games or Criminal Minds
This show was made for psychology majors. It’s literally mind-blowing. They perform experiments on people and explain human phenomenons. This show is also perfect for any psychology major. It involves investigating the most disturbed criminal minds.
5. Pre-med: Greys Anatomy or House
Duh. Who doesn’t love this show? It’s a great drama series that’s really entertaining, but also provides insight to the medical field like performing surgeries. Plus, McDreamy…
As a pre-med student, this is one of my favorites. The medical mysteries involved in this show are really fascinating. Plus, House is a medical genius, and he’s hilarious!
6. Music: Glee
Yes and yes. Any music major would love this show. It’s full of dancing, singing, and it’s really funny. It’s about a group of high school students in the glee club with plenty of high school drama involved too.
7. Drama/Theatre: Any Disney movie
Cinderella, Tangled, Frozen, Beauty in the Beast, Mulan, there’s so many. Ok, this isn’t a show but seriously, there’s nothing more perfect for a theatre major than a Disney movie.
8. Journalism: Gilmore Girls
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love this show? It’s perfect for a journalism major because Rory goes to Yale and majors in journalism.
9. Undecided: Gossip Girl
What? You’ve already watched the whole series like four times? I had to put this one in somewhere. I think I’m currently on my third time watching this, but who’s counting? I think we can all agree that Gossip Girl is prefect for anyone to watch.
