Being an online student has it’s perks. I have had waaay too much free time on my hands recently, and that has currently been filled with new animes to fill the void of the amazing videogames I’ve just finished. So here’s a few of the great animes I have discovered just recently and absolutely love.

1. Nanatsu No Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins)

If you want an anime with adventure, fun characters, conflict, this is a great anime to satiate your need for an exciting new show. The Seven Deadly Sins follows a princess named Elizabeth Liones as she journeys through a kingdom similar to Europe during medival times to find seven warriors who were seen as traitors who tried to overthrow the Liones empire. These warriors each marked with the animal symbol of the corresponding deadly sin are the most powerful in the kingdom, and she seeks them out to gain their help in overthrowing the corrupt leaders in the kingdom. There’s a great balance of humor, love, action, and a little blood and graphicness to this show. Also a little perviness, but what is an anime without a character who is a little bit raunchy. When you get past that though, it’s a fun, action filled show that will make you want to binge watch. Viewer discretion is advised.

2. Uta No Prince Sama (Prince of Song)

So I stumbled upon this anime while watching a video of different characters one of my favorite seiyuu’s (voice actors) has played. It was literally nothing like I thought it would be. Uta No Prince Sama is an anime filled with you guessed it, songs. It follows a girl named Nanami as she goes to school to pursue her dream of being a composer and meets seven guys who all admire and adore her ability to write songs. Yes, I will say some moments where all seven guys are literally infatuated with her were a little cringey. Cringey because it was very dramatic at some points but also cringey because I’ll be honest I was slightly jealous of a fictional character. This anime has tons of interesting, fun, dancey Japanese songs and it honestly impressed me how much work the creators put in to put one or two songs in almost EVERY episode.

3. Tonari No Kaibutsu Kun (My Little Monster)

This short and cute little anime is about a girl named Shizuku who is a studious but quite cold-hearted girl who meets a rebellious, almost bipolar, super agressive boy named Haru. Haru was suspended from school for his aggressive behavior and Shizuku is tasked with encouraging him to come back to school since his suspension had ended and he never came back. The two begin an unlikely friendship when Shizuku realizes that Haru never really had friends and the show follows the blossoming of their relationship. This quite cute and quirky anime is a nice little show that provides a cute, little escape into a story of two people learning to become friends and learn to work through their personal struggles.

So here’s my shortlist of new animes you guys might be interested in. Hope you guys enjoy them as much as I did! Happy watching!
