Was spring break too short for you? Do you want to get away from the city for a day but dont have the funds or time to go on a trip? Well you’re in luck, here are my top 5 getaway destinations in Seattle! Even though they are in Seattle, while you’re there, you’ll feel like your somewhere miles away from Seattle and all the craziness.

Discovery park

Discovery park is located in between Queen Ann and Ballard and is

534 acres of pure nature. There are many trails to go off and adventure on and better yet, it has an amazing view of the puget sound, not only are there trails but there is a beach that you can walk along on.

Washington Park Arboretum

This park is located on shore of Lake Washington, right by the University of Washington Seattle Campus in North Seattle, it includes 230 acres of rare Trees and a Japanese garden. It is well known for Azalea way in the spring time, which is a very unique tapestry of Azalea’s.

Seward Park

Seward Park is located in South Seattle, 300 acres of pure forest land, there is also a 2.4 mile bike and walking path, a native plant garden, numerous hiking trails, and shoreline to adventure.

Volunteer Park

Volunteer Park is located in between Capitol hill and downtown Seattle. It consist of 40 acres of land. It has Trails, playgrounds, picnic tables, gardens, lily ponds and more!

Carkeek park

Carkeek park is located just nine miles from downtown in North Seattle. It consist of 220 acres of forest, meadows, wetlands, and beach. There are plenty of trails to walk on and enough beach for everyone to enjoy during our warmer days of the year!
