See a playful ‘cat and mouse’ duo starring female leads: Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.

Oh plays MI-6 operative Eve Polastri who is on the hunt for a well-trained assassin Villanelle played by Comer. Watch as Eve and Villanelle become increasingly obsessed with each other.

Villanelle’s beautiful sense of style

Costume Designer Charlette Mitchell decks Villanelle in designer clothes. Mitchell perfectly embodies Villanelle’s egotistical personality in her wardrobe. Honestly, it is my favorite part of this show.

Villanelle taking pride in her work

See multiple creative murders from biting a woman’s neck to a live reenactment of the painting The Corpses of the De Witt Brothers.

Come for the clothes, stay for the witty comedy

Head writers Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Season One) and Emerald Fennell (Season Two) and their teams created some punchy one-liners:

“I had a quite heavy period last week, but other than that I think I am okay”-Villanelle, Season One

“I hate to be strict but she really mustn’t kill anyone”-Carolyn, Season Two

Catch the craziest sex scene I have ever seen

Season One, episode 2 “I’ll Deal with Him Later” Villanelle and her neighbor Sebastian have an INTENSE love scene that will stick with you.

Get motivated

Villanelle’s ‘do what I want, take no shit’ behavior mixed with Eve’s testing her limits you are motivated to do the same.

Scout locations for your next trip to Europe

The series takes you to Paris, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Romania, Berlin, Vienna, along with other villages and remote parts of the UK.

Home design inspiration

The super chic lofts that Villanelle lives in, various hotel rooms that shown, to the busty school teacher’s house. Check out the silk sheets Villanelle spontaneous purchases, the wallpaper in the hotel rooms that Eve keeps renting, and Pinterest worthy home with blue walls and fairy lights.

Not to mention the female domination on the screen

You got 13 women showing up on the screen for at least two episodes. This series passes the Bechdel Test with flying colors with conversations about work, backstories for a majority of the women and not to forget- full names! Also, in Season Two, character Jess is pregnant and working!

Women are eating

In so many films and shows women are shown with food but rarely consume it. If they are eating, it is done very neatly. Villanelle and Eve shove food into their mouth the way a normal hungry girl does. Working on breaking the illogical stereotypes projected onto women through entertainment.

There are so many reasons to watch this amazing show on Hulu. (I can’t wait until they get rid of the ads). Once you do, hit me up! I love talking about this show.

Hello wonderful readers! I aspire to take my creative writing degree as far as I can in the fashion industry. Designing clothes to editing magazines I want to dip my toe into it all! I hope you enjoy reading my articles as much as I did making them.
