Meet Campus Celebrity, Vince Escudero!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

UW-Stout Senior, Vincent Escudero is the campus funny-man who inspires students with his humor and incredible advice. I met Vince my freshman year here at UW Stout, and I still remember one of the very first things that he said to me. “I’ve never kissed anyone.” Once he said that I looked straight at him and told him I didn’t believe him, but he kept a straight face and said he was serious. I later discovered that he was completely messing with me. If you DON’T know Vince, well I’m sorry, you’re missing out on knowing an amazing person!

Vince is UW-Stouts campus celebrity for 1. Being awesome and 2. For his inspirational videos on YouTube.  Vince has about 16 videos on his YouTube page on various topics from succeeding in life to love and relationship advice. Since I know that most students don’t pay attention in class, or end up on YouTube sometime during “studying” you should check out his videos! They might even make an impact on your life. Oh, and if you happen to see Vince walking around, tell him his videos are awesome!

Name: Vincent Escudero

Year: Senior

Major: Business Admin – Emphasis: Entrepreneurship

H.C: Why did you choose Stout?

I toured multiple schools but Stout stood out the most to me. I had planned to run cross-country and track in college (and did my first 2 years) and was also interested in basketball initially. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to attend good ol’ Stout.

H.C. What activities are you involved with on campus?

Other than intramurals, I am currently involved our Men’s Volleyball Club Team. We took 3rd in the nation last year so it’s a pretty great experience! I also work at Ted’s Pizza currently so come get some pizza!

H.C. What type of career do you want to have after college?

There are so many things I want to do for a career, it’s hard to choose. I plan on being self-employed and make a living working from my laptop by selling my own information products online. Along with that, I have plans to be a stage speaker and travel speaking to thousands on how they can be more productive, happy, and successful in their businesses.

H.C. I’ve seen a few of your inspirational videos on YouTube, what made you decide to make those?

I love people and I love speaking. Speaking on camera and on stage challenges me to be the best I can be and even if one of my videos helps or entertain one person, it was worth the time.

H.C. What are your favorite inspirational topics? And how do you think they impact people?

I absolutely love helping people with relationships. However, simply motivating others to create change in their lives by breaking a habit, sticking to a decision, or just staying less depressed each day are some great topics for me. While I am a tough critic on my videos, I have had many, many amazing responses and messages from people telling me how a specific video has changed their life or made their day/week better. I’m very grateful for that.

H.C. If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

Currently, if I could go anywhere in the world it would be either New York or Australia. I love the city, but I’ve also heard amazing things about Australia.
