Being an art student is a struggle, so here are some ways to survive as an art student in college!

Bring Snacks Everywhere You Go

You never know when you are going to have your next meal with huge projects, so always have snacks available.

Get Some Sleep!

You may think it’s a good idea to go to bed at 2 am every night, but you are going to regret it when you have to work on a project all night the next day. Go to bed at a reasonable time and you won’t feel like a 62 year old lady.

Save Money for Art Supplies

Don’t spend all your money on stuff you don’t need. Art supplies need to be replaced constantly, so save money or else you are gonna be broke.

Make Friends!

Working on projects in class everyday will be very boring without having someone to talk to, so befriend your classmates! They can help give you critiques and suffer with you at 1 am.

Take Care of Yourself!!!

Take as many breaks as you can. Art projects can drain your energy and will to live. Reward yourself with going out, having a treat, or just taking a nap. You deserve it you maniac.

Don’t Wear Nice Clothes to Art Classes

You’re not a business student. Wear clothes you don’t care about, because art is messy and you don’t want to have your favorite sweater ruined by paint.

Being an art student is hard! With these tips, you can get through your classes without losing your sanity.
