We have only been in winter for a few months, but it feels like an eternity. Gone are the days of sun-kissed skin, full of magic and bliss, and instead are the days of chapped lips and dry skin. We are just about fed up with this crap. But let’s face it, it’s not even February and we still have a couple months to go before it starts to get even remotely warm again. You might as well start upping your skin game and invest in something that will make our skin thank us. Here are some tricks and tips to help you feel moisturized and ready to face today.

Use a Humidifier

If you want to start feeling and looking better, your best bet is to use a humidifier day and night. Yes, it’s annoying having to refill it every day, but you will thank me later. Humidifiers are proven to prevent colds and clear your skin.

Moisturize with Calamine Lotion

Calamine lotion is typically used to treat chicken pox, but it is also a handy addition to your moisturizing routine to lighten dark spots while quenching your skin. Plus, it is affordable and can be found basically anywhere.

Step Away From the Spot Treatments

Unless you have extremely oily skin, go easy on the salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. They are meant to dry out a zit, not for lotion.

Drink water

I know that you are probably tired of hearing this, but it is one of the easiest ways to stay healthy and hydrated. Carry a water bottle around with you to class and set yourself a goal of how much water you are going to drink daily.

That is all for my tips and tricks and I hope you all stay hydrated this winter season!
