Nope!

When I found out that ponchos were the beginning of the new market, I instantly had a flashback to elementary days and thought “oh no……please not again.”

Except now they are a different style than the crocheted ones that I knew back then. Instead, they’re more-so like a large blanket that keeps you cozy all day, while still staying fashionable. Many of them are wool or fleece and come in an assortment of colors and patterns. Some button in the front, some have arm holes and others just slide right over your head.

Similarly, is the blanket scarf. Sometimes it can be difficult figuring out the difference between the two since a blanket scarf can look like a thicker, traditional scarf, or it can have seams on the shoulders to drape over the body. Besides a traditional scarf, these can be worn different ways, one of the most popular being a cardigan. All that’s needed is a belt and a typical scarf has now became a cardigan!

It’s not uncommon to find these while shopping at the mall. Stores that carry an array of styles include, but are not limited to:

American Eagle

Charlotte Russe

Charming Charlie

Forever 21

Francesca’s

H&M

Hollister

Macy’s

Target

Tj Maxx

Urban Outfitters
