The 5 Best Collections of Fashion Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

Fashion Week is where a designer’s voice really gets to shine. Everything is a bit crazier, bolder, and more daring. This season didn’t dissapoint. Many designers made a statement with Spring/Summer collections, but these are few that stood out!

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s spring collection featured plenty of leather and pastel pink. The combo gave off a Grease vibe and modern-grunge interpretation of our favorite pink ladies.

Michael Kors

Like all of his collections, Michael Kors once again delivered a collection of pieces that were effortlessly sexy. With plenty of billowing tops and wide-legged bottoms, Kor’s created a casual, but elegant design.

Mary Katrantzou

These looks were all about the details. Kantrantzou wowed the crowd with her attention to print and embellishment. The unique color pallette brought a very original design to the table.

Balenciaga

This was Alexander Wang’s last collection with Balenciaga and we’re said to see hm go. For his final collection he went for a total white-out. Each look was made up of flowing fabrics that gave the models an ethereal appearance.

Vera Wang

Wang showed a neutral collection this season with a few pops of color. With many layering pieces, she incorporated textiles such satin, sheers, and fringe. The overall collection was a sophicated reimagination of some classic designs that kept them modern.
