36 Thoughts While Gearing Up For Finals

The end of this increasingly strange semester is culminating in what is sure to be a very strange finals season. We have just about a week left until the process starts at Stout and this is how we’re gearing for chaos on the frontlines: 

  1. How is it already this time again?
  2. Didn’t we just go on break like two weeks ago?
  3. I have no idea what is going on in class right now
  4. Do I have any more assignments?
  5. There has got to be at least another quiz
  6. It’s been eerily quiet on Canvas
  7. Must resist the urge to binge watch Brooklyn Nine Nine
  8. I can’t believe that it’s all gonna be over in a few weeks
  9. What is finals even going to look like online?
  10. Is the exam schedule the same?
  11. If I get to dip out of taking an exam at 8 on Monday morning, then I have won finals week
  12. The silver lining of online classes!
  13. I’m going to need so much coffee
  14. I can’t remember the last night I pulled an all-nighter
  15. Oh right, it was last finals week
  16. It’s great that I have 24/7 access to dogs during this
  17. They never stop barking though
  18. I forgot how much attention they need
  19. I wish I had more time
  20. Was it really this stressful last semester?
  21. I can’t believe I’m going to take my last college exam at my kitchen table
  22. Maybe during breakfast?
  23. At least I don’t have to cook for myself anymore
  24. That was exhausting
  25. I’m an adult who eats popcorn for dinner
  26. My mom is not going to be happy with my study group meeting past 10 at night
  27. She’s gotta watch Below Deck and we’re very loud
  28. Are we still doing pre-finals socials?
  29. Last week we watched a magician over zoom
  30. I don’t know if I can make it through another round of virtual bingo
  31. Virtual yoga would really come in clutch though
  32. Throwing a virtual cocktail hour would also be such a vibe
  33. How do you celebrate the end of finals week when you can’t leave your house?
  34. Maybe like an extra-long Zumba session in the backyard?
  35. What if they just cancelled finals this semester?
  36. That would be the real silver lining of online classes

We can only hope that things go back to normal for next semester!
