3 Ways Stout Has Introduced You To Your Life Calling

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

Loving UW-Stout?  That’s easy.  Loving your career?  Not so much.  Some college students may be dreading the day that they have to leave the life of dorms, included utilities, and weekend parties to live in the “real world” of desk jobs and living expenses.  Fortunately for us, UW-Stout has more to love than just conveniences and fun.  They’ve turned our cringe-worthy desk jobs into dream-worthy careers.  So how do you know when you’ve found your life-long love?  We’ll dish it out for you in a hot minute

1. Classes are just a formality.

So maybe you aren’t elated about the homework and essays, but classwork is as easy as a summer breeze.  Stout’s hands-on classes have given you all the facts needed to be envisioning that grad cap a little prematurely.  So what if I’ve got three semesters left?  Let-me-at-’em.

2. You’re a Career Conference pro.

All of your career conference bootcamps and resume advice appointments from good-old-trusty Career Services have you ready to roll up to those employers with all the savvy you can muster.

3. You’re finding internships around every corner, without even trying.

Our hands on classes have taught us all the right lingo.  Talking up our career prospects comes as natural to us as brushing our teeth.  Seriously, we could be walking into grocery stores and somehow find a co-op in our field.

Every person has the ability to find success.  UW-Stout just helps us get there sooner, and with the confidence to strive for it.
