Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, the highly anticipated continuation of cult favorite TV show Gilmore Girls, premiers on Netflix on November 25th. So, in honor of a new adventure with the Gilmore family, here are 11 gifs that sum up your Thanksgiving this year.

1. When you walk in the door, your grandparents are like

It’s like you’re in college overseas, not just a few hours from home.

2. When you see your younger cousins and realize kids grow more in a year than you thought.

You swear no one was that tall when you were twelve.

3. When you realize you’re stuck at the kids table (but you don’t really mind).

You’d rather shovel mashed potatoes in your mouth with the kids than pretend to have manners, anyways.

4. When your fitness-obsessed aunt comments on your plate.

Eating on Thanksgiving is pretty much an Olympic sport, and you’re going for the gold.

5. And when Grandma asks if you want seconds.

Calories don’t count, especially not in your grandma’s stuffing.

6. When someone brings up politics.

If you hear “Trump” one more time, you might scream.

7. And when that conversation gets too heated.

Your conservative grandparents and super left wing cousin cannot go three seconds without yelling about politics.

8. When someone asks why you’re still single.

Just because it’s cuffing season, that doesn’t mean you need to be in a relationship.

9. And when they ask about your plans for after college.

You really have no idea.

10. Basically everyone the whole weekend.

Is this really all anyone cares about?

11. When you’re from a blended family and realize you have to do it all over again.

Sometimes having multiple holiday celebrations is fun, but other times, it’s just plain painful.

So enjoy your Turkey Day with your family, eat an extra piece of pie for Lorelai, and hope that your meal is less dramatic than Friday night dinners with Richard and Emily. And on Friday, when you’re done fighting for deals at the mall, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy six hours of coffee-filled nostalgia!
