The End of the Semester Told By Shameless

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Lax chapter.

Spring Break has ended. No more beaches and road trips. No more family and relaxation time. No more motivation. We were given the little bit of escape from school that we needed which makes surviving the rest of the semester seem even more impossible. These are a few of the thoughts running through our heads during this point of the game:

When you’ve called your mom 6 times already in one day to tell her how stressed you are.

When someone reassures you that school is almost over and that you will be okay.

When you try to justify your excessive alcoholic consumption as a coping mechanism.

When your non-college friends complain about their lives.

When the only pleasure you get anymore is from animals you see on campus or at parties.

When your roommates/friends aware you of your recent short temper and rudeness towards them.

When you finally make it to your bed after a long day of cluttering your mind with information.

When your lack of sleep hits you and you start to lose it.

When your study buddy leaves the library and you have hours more to go.

When you’ve lost all energy to do laundry, look in the mirror, or shower for that matter. (Lots of sweatpants and dry shampoo).

When your professor tells the class the final is cumulative.

When you attempt to hide the fact that you haven’t been to the gym in weeks.

When Friday rolls around and you realize you can finally somewhat enjoy yourself for once (nevermind, you forgot have hours of studying to make up for).

When you get your exam grades back and find out you barely passed.
