7 Things You’re Thinking After Oktoberfest Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Lax chapter.

Rise and shine UW-La Crosse students! Although the last thing on your mind is going to school and getting back into your regular routine after a fun weekend of Oktoberfesting, the time has come to put aside the all the habits you’ve made over the weekend and get back to reality! With all the memories made with friends, family and everyone in the La Crosse community during the fun-filled weekend of one of the most celebrated weekends in fall, it’s now time to move on and get back to the whole reason why we are here at UW-L…to get an education! I know it’s a sad time, but think about how many more new exciting things are to come: haunted houses, halloween, thanksgiving.  Below are some things I know we are all thinking as Oktoberfest weekend ends, and October begins.

1. Is that my alarm already? I NEED SLEEP! One second your sleeping like a baby, or sleeping as nicely as you can in your dorm bed, and then before you know it your morning alarm is going off to get you out of bed and into class. You can’t help but shed a tear that you have to get up and leave your nice, warm bed.

2. Can we just go back to Friday? When you first wake up you can’t help but reminisce about the the amazing weekend you just had and all the unforgettable memories you made living it up with your best girls friends.

3. HALLOWEEN IS COMING!! After your quick moment of sadness you remember that Halloween will be here before you know it! I can do this, I can make it!

4. I LOVE October! After thinking about Halloween for awhile, you begin to think about how much you love October, how beautiful it is and how lucky you are to be in La Crosse during such an amazing month.

5. This will have to do for today. As excited as you are for Halloween, that still doesn’t give you the motivation to actually look good for class. Who are you kiddng though? You kept snoozing your alarm until you had 5 mintues before you had to be in class.

6. I think I’m having a mental breakdown. So you got through the day, but then you realize how much homework, exams and papers you will have to do for this week, including all other homework you didn’t do over the weekend. Before you know it, this is you in the library:

7. IT’S FRIDAY! Finally, after you’ve somehow made it through all exams, homework and papers…it’s Friday again, and you can forget about school and responsibilities for just a couple of days until it’s M***** again. (Sorry can’t say the M word, Monday, on a Friday).
