Between keeping up with schoolwork, participating in clubs and campus activities, balancing work, maintaining a social life, and everything in between, life can get downright stressful—-and even that is an understandment. Whether you have a full day to unwind and don’t know how or you only have a few minutes in between the chaos of the day, here are some easy, simple ways to destress:

.) Go to a humane society/park and play with dogs.

.) Grab a cup of coffee or tea with a friend.

.) Call your family and catch up.

.) Go on a walk or bike ride.

.) Watch a stand-up feature on Netflix or YouTube.

.) Do yoga through a gym or online video at home.

.) Mediate.

.) Take a bath (bubbles, music, candles—the whole works)

.) Create something—doodle, paint, whatever it is you enjoy.

.) Try a new recipe and eat it all without regret.

.) Spend a few minutes in the sunshine.

.) Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and count to ten.

.) Journal and try and figure out your source of stress.

.) Do a face mask + paint your nails.

.) Ask for a hug from someone you love.

.) Put essential oil on your skin or in a diffuser.

.) Punch your pillow.

.) Turn off your phone/get away from technology.

.) Look at happy photos of yourself/happy memories.

.) Clean your room + make your bed.

.) Take a nap.

.) Listen to mood boosting music.

.) Say affirmations into the mirror.

.) Write down 10 things you’re thankful for.

.) Do something nice for someone else.
