If you’re skiing or riding this weekend, you’re likely to run into Seth Levin shreddin’ up the slopes. Seth is a senior at UVM with a major in Environmental Studies and a double minor in Business Administration and Green Building and Community Design. What sounds like a busy course load means that there’s no free time, right? Not for Seth. He hits up the mountain about three to five times per week.
“I started skiing at age two and switched to snowboarding at age ten,” he says. That’s eleven years of riding, so no wonder he’s good. In fact, the UVM Snowboard Team has won Battle for Burlington for the past two years and Seth has received MVP both times. He is sponsored by ShredCity and by UVMST. His favorite trick? “Boardslides.”

Transworld Snowboarding called him a “name to watch in the N’East.” And when he’s not snowboarding? “I like skateboarding, and I’m interested in music and technology. My favorite band is The Doors.”

So what’s the next step for this talented snowboarder? Is he the next Shaun White or will he save the polar bears from global warming? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
