What are your favorite courses you’ve taken at UVM?
I really liked biomass to biofuels because we got to visit local agricultural businesses every Saturday. There was very little paper work and the majority of the class was spent on field trips
If you could chose another major, what would you chose?
Forestry.
Best study spot on campus?
3rd floor Bailey Howe.
If you could recommend any professor to take, who would you chose and why?
Kathleen Liang. She loves to teach and is hilarious. Everyone gets an A, but if you talk in class she’ll hit you on the back of the head…hard.
Weirdest thing you’ve encountered at UVM?
It was below freezing one day and there was a guy running around in a loincloth blowing a horn yelling something about oil.
Favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Hunt, Fish, Booze.

I firmly believe that I invented the flannel, and wore it long before hipsters discovered it.

Deer Season. (Fall is nice too.)
If you could shake hands with one inspirational person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet my great uncle Sam. I have heard so many good stories about him and he was the man I was named after.

What is one strange thing about yourself that most people would never guess?
I lift….

Willy Nelson’s Country Peach Cobler; because it just sums me up.

A knife, a bottle of good rum and my best buddy.

Lots of laughs and smiles. Location isn’t a big deal in my book.

Someone who can just throw on jeans and a t-shirt and be themself.

Sweetest thing you’ve ever done for a girl:
Tried to learn how to play the guitar so I could sing her her favorite song. It wasn’t a great success but the thought was there.
