Do you love books as much as we do? Then check out Charlottesville’s annual Virginia Festival of the Book, March 20th – 24th,  a 5-day festival of literary events that are open to the public, honoring book culture and promoting reading and literary.

As one could imagine, the events include several books readings to choose from, but there is also an array of event topics that focus on the publishing industry as a whole, such as:

“From Print to Digital: Newspapers and Resources” an event featuring Stephen Shepard, author of Deadlines and Disruption: My Turbulent Path from Print to Digital and former editor-in-chief of BusinessWeek discusses the sea change in how the news media works (Friday, March 22nd, 10:00am at CitySpace-Piedmont Council for the Arts).

“Publishing Day: Digital Publishing for Your Book”, an event where publishers explain how to edit, publish, and promote digital books, on Saturday March 23rd at 12:00 pm (Omni Hotel, Ballroom A).

No matter what your interest in the book industry is, whether it’s reading for pleasure, or a love for the publishing industry, there is something for everyone.
