The Ultimate Fall Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter.

It is often said that UVA’s campus is the most beautiful during the fall, and even though it has only been true fall weather for about two days, I would say this statement is 100% accurate. As a playlist fanatic, I, of course, made a playlist full of the perfect fall songs to listen to while walking to class. A mix of cozy tunes, light acoustics, and soft lyrics, here is the ultimate fall playlist, brought you to by yours truly. (The entire playlist consists of 77 songs and is about 5 hours long so here are just some of my favorites!)

  • Heartbeats – Jose Gonzalez

If you have an 8AM or 9AM, this is the best song to listen to while walking to class early in the morning.

  • She Will Be Loved – Maroon 5

This song is a classic and definitely one of my fall anthems.

  • Red – Taylor Swift

Honestly, the whole Red album is like an ode to fall.

  • Gotta Have You – The Weepies

This is an old song but seriously gives me big fall vibes.

  • Sympathy – The Goo Goo Dolls

Another oldie but goodie! This was also featured in A Cinderella Story (a gem of a chick flick), and I’m always reminded of that movie whenever I hear this.

  • Shine – Benjamin Francis Leftwich

  • Autumn Leaves – Ed Sheeran

    This is an obvious one.

  • Fast Car – Tracy Chapman

  • Old Pine – Ben Howard

  • Glad (acoustic version) – Tyler Hilton

This song is one of my absolute favorites. The acoustic version is a million times better

than the studio one and makes me feel warm and cozy inside every time. Fun fact: This

is actually from the show One Tree Hill (which is 110% recommend), and it’s honestly so underrated.

There are 67 other songs on the playlist, which are all stellar for fall, but these 10 are definitely worth listening to while walking to class, studying, or reading on a bench outside. Happy listening!
