Three Easy Hairstyles To Rock In Class

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter.

The struggle is so real to get out of your nice, warm and cozy bed to go to class. Before the coffee sets in, it can be hard to even contemplate what to put on your body, much less how to do your hair. But, these five hairstyles will have you out the door in lightning speed, looking put together and ready to tackle whatever your professor throws at you!

1.      The Dressed Up Ponytail

This is the perfect way to add a little spice to the everyday ponytail. Simply put your hair up like usual, but leave a small strand from the underneath portion out of the ponytail. Take that piece and wrap it around the band of the hair tie, and secure the end with a bobby pin. Voila! You have a classy and easy update to your “I just woke up ten minutes ago” ponytail.

2.      The Messy Braid

Nothing is more “shabby chic” than a messy braid. The one pictured here is a fishtail braid, but if you are more comfortable with just a regular braid, feel free to modify! The key to this hairstyle is making sure there is texture. Add some dry shampoo, texturizing spray, or tease the ends to give it a more lived-in appearance.

3.      Twisted Half-Up Half-Down

This last look is for girls with bangs or long tresses that tend to fall in their faces. Instead of the traditional half up half down look, opt for this spin, which involved twisting the strands and crossing one on top of another. This gives a romantic, renaissance vibe that can be achieved in about thirty seconds!

Hi! I am Olivia Bunting, but most people call me Liv. I am a first year at UVA, and I am so excited to be a part of HerCampus!
