The Eras Tour has curated a lot of hype over the past year, and when the movie came out recently I was seeing all of the amazing reviews on my feed and from my friends.

Now, to be honest, I was not excited to go and see the movie. I wouldn’t have at all, but my significant other asked if I would and I truly can’t say no to them. Swiftie barely covers how much my significant other loves her and the thought of watching them have fun was enticing at the very least. How good could a three hour movie based on a music tour be? Apparently PHENOMENAL. I was sitting in the theater after grabbing the must-have Taylor Swift bucket and cup, and the atmosphere was nothing like anything I had ever seen before. The people were all sitting forward, transfixed by the large blonde woman being projected on the screen and singing. No matter what song, throughout the entire movie, there was at least one voice singing somewhere in the darkness. Little girls were dancing in the aisles along with their moms and teenage girls were up as well, mirroring the choreography on the screen.

It made me think about what would have happened if I had had a movie like this growing up. One where it was almost encouraged to get up and dance, one where I could stare at a girl just like me who conquered the world through doing exactly what the world expected of her.

Now, I am not saying that this movie changed my life but it gave me a new perspective of Taylor Swift. She truly was amazing, and every song was so beautifully performed. So ultimately, if you were on the fence about taking three hours out of your day to watch the movie. Go! You won’t regret it.
