As if classes and socializing weren’t enough to handle, this Campus Celebrity must fit in time for 5 am work outs and claiming fame for our University.  3rd Year, star football player Oday Aboushi opens up and tells HerCampus a little about himself as an athlete and a student at UVA.

When did you first realize you wanted to play football in college?
I first realized football was the way to go when I was in high school and started to receive scholarships from a lot of top programs in the country to play football.

If you could have any other talent, what would it be?
If I could have another talent it would be to draw.

What is a normal day like during football season?
A football players day in season normally starts by a 5 am screaming alarm for practice. When done at 10am, we try to squeeze in a meal before having a full day of classes. Then around 3pm we are probablying napping before our dinner at the JPJ at 6pm. After dinner we have study hall or tutoring at 7 or 8 depending on our classes, then it’s off to bed, because 5 am comes quickly!

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Enjoying my life with someone significant and maybe even a family.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my mother and my family, because at the end of the day when all else fails you, they are always there to pick you up.

What has been your proudest moment during your football career?
My most proud moment was winning a gold metal with the national junior football team coming out of high school. Beating Canada in the championship game.

What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
I like to hang out and watch a movie with someone or train for football in the rain, depending on my mood.
