Everyone wants to live their healthiest lifestyle, yet it is not always clear how to accomplish that. From personal experience, I know it can be difficult to sift through all the wellness information available through social media and decide what is based on science and what is made up. I have found that podcasts help break down the science behind specific wellness trends and give simple tips to incorporate these healthy habits into everyday life. My three favorite health podcasts include Healthier Together, The Blonde Files Podcast, and The Doctor’s Pharmacy.

Healthier Together by Liz Moody

Healthier Together is a health podcast that covers many realms of health: mental health, anxiety, dermatology, dental hygiene, the gut microbiome, and sleep. Liz Moody, the host of the podcast, in each episode covers a different health topic through a conversation with an expert. Liz is extremely open and asks health questions that people may be scared to ask. My favorite advice from her podcast includes smoothies are a great breakfast that are filled with pre and probiotics which help diversify the gut microbiome, eating specific foods high in omega 3s and antioxidants can help reduce inflammation, modulate anxiety, and regulate hormones, and your dental health is tied to your entire bodies health and should be paid more attention.

The Blonde Files Podcast

The Blonde Files Podcast is hosted by Ariel Lorrie. She is a young influencer who dives into deep topics and personal experiences related to a wide variety of wellness topics. She also often interviews doctors and dives into the truth behind wellness trends. Her podcast is inspiring and promotes body positivity, taking control of your own health, meditation, and so much more. I personally love her take on healthy eating and how she emphasizes the importance of balance over restriction. She also has many episodes on how to manage stress, turn anxiety into a strength, and how to embrace your inner beauty and strength.

The Doctor’s Pharmacy

The Doctor’s Pharmacy is a podcast on all things related to prevention of disease. He discusses ways in which people can take action in regards to diet, excessive sleep, and other habits that will mitigate your risk of disease and the negative effects of aging. Additionally if you have specific health conditions such as ADHD, diabetes, hypertension, dementia, diverticulitis and many more he has episodes that cover specific ways to reduce the symptoms of the health condition through changing your diet and habits. His podcast is extremely informative, filled with science driven facts, and is extremely fascinating to listen to.
