The Graduation Question

If you are a student at UVA and not graduating, you have been bombarded with this issue for weeks: graduation. While the situation is not going to be perfect, we have to move past the fact that our graduation will not take the form of those before us. The upside is that we do have the opportunity to vote for we think is the best of the options for us. The poll closes on April 22nd, so this is a reminder to go out and vote for what you believe to be the best option. 

To remind yourself what the options are in a straight forward manner, here is a simplified graph. I know that a lot of the information that has been sent out is overwhelming, and wordy, and sometimes it helps to just look at the situation in a straightforward, boiled down manner. 

And because you have presumably not gone through graduation before, here is a chart to help you familiarize youreslf with all of the phases of the ceremony: 

No matter what you think, make sure to get your voice out there and vote. That’s what UVA is all about, after all: student self-governance.
