Welcome back to grounds, hoos! To ease the stress and pain of a new school year, you should really think about decluttering, organizing, and adopting a more minimalist lifestyle. Minimalism is something I have really grown to love over the past year. It has not only made my life easier, but it has completely transformed my way of thinking. Having a few basic, essential go-to pieces and makeup looks is perfect for those days when you’re running late to class but still want to look put-together. Here is my guide to conquering a minimal lifestyle, while still slaying the fashion game.

1.     Have basic yet essential pieces in your wardrobe that can be styled a variety of ways. When shopping, think about purchasing clothes that can match almost anything. I normally gravitate towards black, white, or muted tones. Having a variety of denim washes is also a great essential. Having a minimal wardrobe allows you to experiment with outerwear and accessories, and lets your creativity shine. Plus, choosing an outfit for class just became a much easier task!

2.     Accessorize strategically! Having a few, classic accessories will make your life so much easier. Consider investing in a few necklaces, chokers, bracelets, and a watch. This will give you the variety that you need to give your outfits personality. Personally, I stick to dainty jewelry because I think it’s so versatile and matches any outfit perfectly.

3.     Makeup-wise, less is more! Stay away from cakey makeup, and consider skipping foundation all together! Trust me, cutting out unnecessary makeup is going to save you so much time before class. Natural, glowy makeup is in right now, and we might as well embrace the trend. You’re beautiful and don’t need loads of makeup anyway, so let your natural beauty shine!

Adopting a minimalist lifestyle leads to less stress, giving you the freedom to really experience fashion and beauty without breaking your budget!
