As Halloween approaches, you may be like meーtotally at a loss for costume ideas. Maybe the only thing that you know for sure is that you want to do a couples costume with your significant other. With hundreds of things to choose from, it can be hard to narrow it down to only one costume idea. I’ve come up with five ideas (some unique and some classics) that might be a perfect fit for you and your SO.

Among Us Characters

Among Us is one of the most popular games in the country right now. A super fun couples costume idea would be to both dress up as your Crewmate from the game! This is an idea that can look good if you go all out, or if you want to keep it simple and just wear outfits that match the color of your character.

Morticia and Gomez Addams

I’ll admit, I may be a little biased when it comes to this costume idea as The Addams Family is one of my favorite movies/television shows of all time. Regardless of that, dressing up as the iconic Morticia and Gomez Addams is a simple but amazing look. All you need is a black dress and a suit (and a cigar if you really want to complete the look).

Bob Ross and a Painting

Okay, who doesn’t love Bob Ross? This is a pretty wholesome costume idea that’s also perfect for a couple that loves to be a little silly. One of you can dress up as Bob Ross with a bushy wig and drawn on facial hair, and the other can wear a cut out of a painting or drawing that you two make together!

A Pair of Ghosts

A very popular trend on TikTok at the moment is the ghost photoshoot. This couples costume is super easy and gives you an excuse to take some really fun pictures! Just grab a couple of sheets and some sunglasses and you’ll have everything you need.

Disney Characters

Dressing up as Disney characters for Halloween may be done often, but it’s a classic for a reason: there’s such an endless possibility of characters to choose from. You and your significant other can dress up as characters from your favorite Disney movie, whether as Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin or Cinderella and Prince Charming! You really can’t go wrong.

If you read this article but don’t happen to be in a relationship, don’t worry! All of these costume ideas can work for friends too! Just expand Morticia and Gomez to include the whole Addams Family or dress up as Bob Ross and lots of happy little accidents. Whatever you decide to dress up as, I hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!
