With summer just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about how we’re going to spend our summer nights. Now that we’re in college, summers tend to be more focused on internships and jobs, and by the time our 9:00-5:00 day ends, sometimes nothing sounds better than a good drink.

Here are three drinks to get you in the mood for summertime.

1.     Orange Splash

Looking for something refreshing and citrusy? Try this drink—with a mixture of sweet and sour you’ll be coming back for seconds.

Ingredients:

2 ounces of Absolut Citron vodka

1 ounce of Cointreau or triple sec

1 splash of lime juice

1 splash of orange juice

Place all ingredients in a shaker or a cup and shake.  Add an orange slice for an extra splash of color and taste.

2.     Berry Mojito

This drink is a summer-take on a classic mojito.

Ingredients:

5 mint leaves

1 teaspoon of granulated sugar

4 wedges of lime, juiced

2 ounces of Bacardi Razz

¼ ounces of Cambord

¼ ounces of blue Curacao

1 splash of club soda

Mint, raspberries, and blueberries to put in at the end

Crush the mint at the bottom of a glass. Add the sugar and lime juice and then stir together. Then add the Bacardi, Chambord and blue Curacao and mix together. Pour in the splash of club soda.

3.     White Wine Sangria

If you like sangria, you’ll love this fresh take on it.

Ingredients:

1 pint of strawberries, halved lengthwise

2 oranges, sliced into ¼ inch rings

2 lemons, sliced into ¼ inch rings

3 peaches, cut into 8 slices

3 bottled of white wine (dry, recommended: Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay)

1 liter of sparkling water

Ice

Put all fruit in pitcher or bowl, add the wine and let everything sit at room temperature for 4 to 24 hours. When it’s ready to be served, add the sparkling water and ice. Serve in a bowl with a ladle.
