’Tis the season of many Parents Formals at UVA. For some, these Greek-affiliated formals are greatly looked forward to, and for others, they are greatly feared. In this unique event, students, their dates, and their parents are brought together for a night to remember; it is much like a homecoming or prom…except after pictures and h’orderves, the parents tag along for the dance and after-party. Along with a diverse population of students comes a diverse population of parents, though there are almost always 10 reoccurring types that can be found amongst the Parents Formal crowd.
