How to Make Work Uniforms Look Cute

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UTSA chapter.

If you’re like me, you more than likely have to wear a uniform for your job. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t dress cute! Follow along for ways to express yourself– even at work!

1. Add Jewelry

When I put on my uniform in the morning, I always make sure to never leave the house without wearing my favorite jewelry pieces. Wearing a statement necklace or dangling earrings make me feel like I’m expressing myself without breaking any of the uniform rules! I believe that the best thing about jewelry is that you can either choose from dainty, elegant pieces, or you can choose accessories that are bold and bright. Whatever your choice, you’re bound to find the best jewelry for your outfit.

2. Outerwear Forever

Nothing screams “comfortable” like an oversized sweater. Some jobs require wearing work shirts that cannot be fully covered, but you can still wear a nice jacket that will keep you warm. Jacket possibilities range from sporty to professional, so you’ll never run out of choices to choose from. I would also recommend wearing a cardigan for a cute vintage look. Another option that is popular now is the trench coat, which looks both professional and classic in a camel color.

3. Confidence

Most important of all, you should always have confidence! I truly believe you always look your best when you feel confident with yourself. No matter what a person wears, feeling comfortable with who they are as a person can make anyone look good. So if you’re heading out to work, make sure to look in the mirror, and tell yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to!
