It’s well known that anything men can do, women can do, and probably better. Women in music are some of the most disrespected group of people. When singing about their bodies, and their lifestyles, they are bashed, when men in music sing about a lot worse. Let’s not rely on women in music to be the role models for your daughters if you disagree with what they sing about. Christina Aguilera taught me that “I am beautiful, no matter what they say,” Beyonce taught me that girls run the world, and Demi Lovato taught me there’s nothing wrong with being confident. Instead of bashing and trashing these strong-minded women, let’s praise them instead.
