We’re a couple of days into October, which means that everywhere you look orange, and black are taking over. It’s the start of a favorite season and holidays. Unfortunately with such fun comes sad and stressful days, here are a couple of tips of how to enjoy the most of Halloween and the upcoming holidays while being a student.

Tip 1: Take part in the fun. Try to finish all homework before the weekend and go out with friends. Most bars are decorated for the season, which means you can look extra cute while sipping away your problems.

Tip 2: Buy a bunch of Pillsbury’s holiday cookies, bake them and enjoy a nice night in surrounded by all those yummy pastries. Add some ice cream to that and it’s a party!

Tip 3: Have a scary movie night! Get the best all time favorite Halloween movies, round up a couple of friends or go solo (nobody is judging), get some snacks and start watching! And if you’re like me, a scaredy cat, point out all the flaws in the movie. Believe me, it helps!

Tip 4: It’s never too early to go Christmas shopping. There is some awesome sales going on weekly at some stores. Take your mom, best friend or sibling and shop! Retail therapy helps soothe the soul but try not to hurt your bank account too much.

Tip 5: It’s decoration time! Go to Hobby Lobby or Target and decorate the stress away! It is aesthetically pleasing when your home smells like a holiday! Whether it is salted caramel for Halloween, vanilla for Thanksgiving or cinnamon for Christmas, it literally melts all worries away.

Hope these tips help and for an extra bonus of relaxation, strong concentration and motivation, light up some candles and just think about all the food you’re soon going to consume and how close you are to the finishing line.

Have a great one Vaqueros!
