I went to Mexico this past summer, and now I’m going to give you three reasons why every single person should leave their home country at least once.
1. The world is a beautiful place, and exploring it is lots of fun.
If you enjoy adventures, visiting another country would be perfect for you! You get to experience new things, try new foods and meet new people. What’s better than that? While I was in Mexico, I got to try authentic Mexican food. I rode in a shuttle bus for the first time ever, which is just about the only transportation around Mexico. I went snorkeling at the Punta Nizuc Underwater Museum in Cancun, which is one of the coolest things I have ever done. You’re equipped with goggles, a snorkel and flippers before you are dropped off in the middle of the water. Even something as simple as laying out on the beautiful sunny beaches of Zona Hotelera was an enjoyable experience that resulted in a gorgeous tan. Downtown Cancun is full of tourist shops for all your tourist needs. Just make sure you understand the US dollar to peso conversion because you will get ripped off if you show up not knowing anything about pesos and how much they are worth.
2. You get to take really cool pictures for your Instagram.
Everyone loves a good selfie, but a good selfie in another country is a bonus, unless you’re super unphotogenic, like me, but even then the view of the country will be stunning enough to post pictures either way. Just make sure you take lots of pictures while you’re there. You’ll be glad you did when you need a quick trip but can’t actually go anywhere. Those photos will take you back to the happy days of your vacation, no matter what mood you were in.
3. You will have memories to last a lifetime.
You’ll always remember the fun you had while you were exploring another country. You’ll have plenty of stories to share with your friends, but more importantly, you’ll always have those memories to think back on. Memories last forever; nothing can replace them. If you ever get the opportunity to visit another country, I highly recommend you take it. You won’t regret it. I know it’s one of the greatest things I have ever done. Take chances. Make the most out of your life. Enjoy every moment.
