It’s Christmas time for UTK

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tennessee chapter.

Fall semester 2011 is finally coming to a close. Football season is over, the temperature is dropping, and as of Dec. 8, all exams will be over! Everyone’s minds are filled with the normal end of the semester stresses and excitement.

So from all the Fall 2011 Her Campus team, we want to wish you all luck, safety and happiness during break. Good luck to all you study-ers filling the tables at Hodges through all hours of the night. Be safe loading your cars down and making the road trip home. And have an amazing time enjoying your break from school, spending time with your family, and seeing friends back home that you’ve been separated from all semester.

Don’t forget to enjoy the opportunities you have left while you’re still in town. The Market Square ice skating rink is all set up, and it’s great for date or girls’ night. American Eagle is having a Holiday Hunt all over campus during finals week. Make sure you like they’re Facebook page for clues to where the gifts are hidden. A 10 minute study break might land you some great AE gifts. And, of course, don’t forget the shows at the Valarium, the drink specials on the Strip and in the Old City, and all the Ugly Christmas Sweater parties you’re heart desires!

Bailey wrote a great blog about how to deal with living at home again after you’ve been on your own at UTK. So if you find yourself gettting annoyed, take a deep breath and check out her advice. As a girl who ventures home to Memphis every Christmas, she knows what she’s talking about.

It’s been a great Fall semester, but I think we’re all excited to move forward. I hope everything gets checked off your Christmas list, and you find the perfect gifts for your loved ones.

We’ll see you back here for Spring 2012! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! HC UTK has some amazing plans for the Spring semester. Can’t wait to join you back at UT for another great term.

HCXO from your CC,

Kathryn
