When you keep yourself organized, you will be able to find things you are looking for a lot easier. I have heard people say they have had problems organizing themselves, so I would like to provide some helpful tips on how to stay organized.

  • Label all your pocket folders with your name and the class you want to use it for. You would not be able to find what you are looking for if you put all your papers together in one folder. Plus, your folder will get thicker and could easily rip. For example, have one folder for science and another one for math.

  • When doing work online from documents, make folders for all of your classes separately. This is the same way with having regular pocket folders except this is on your technology devices by using file explorer or google drive.

  • Use a calendar so you know what your schedule is going to be like every day. I personally prefer my google calendar because I can easily keep my schedule organized along with appointments I make with people on campus or club events.

  • Keep the clothes you want to wear together. If you have clothes that don’t fit you anymore, you can easily separate them by putting them together in a space bag for extra space in your closet. Only keep the clothes that fit you available, don’t put them in a space bag with your childhood clothes.

  • Set alarms on your smartphone so you can wake up when you’re supposed to every day. That way you are on time for class and work.

  • Set reminders on your smartphone’s reminders app to remind things to take care of so you don’t forget important things you might need to do before class or work.

  • Keep emails from your classes together in a folder in your email account. If you have professors that send you emails on course things, make a folder for each class and keep them together. That way you don’t have a mess of emails in your inbox. You can keep emails for each class together.

If you use these tips that I have provided for you, you should not have a problem with finding things that you want to look for. This will hopefully make your life easier, and help you stay organized!
