As we finally feel a breeze in the air, we know that the season of coziness is fast approaching. What can be cozier than being wrapped up in bed, under the sheets, hot chocolate in hand, while watching your favorite comfort show? A comfort show is a TV show you go back to time after time because it brings you, you guessed it, a sense of comfort, and these are the ones I would recommend:

1. Friends

Friends revolves around a group of six adults in New York City: Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross. They are a group of friends navigating life in their 20s and 30s, and it’s my absolute favorite comfort show. It’s so lighthearted, yet it reminds you that everyone is on their own path, and it is never too late to start over. It is truly my most-watched show.

2. Modern Family

Modern Family is about three intertwined and diverse families growing together as a family. The show captures the everyday ups and downs of modern family life, encompassing everything from career changes and parenting mishaps to everything in between. The show sheds a whole new light on family dynamics and how unconditional love is the genuine foundation for all ups and downs.

3. New Girl

After breaking up with her boyfriend, a very bubbly and outgoing Jessica Day moves in with three other guys in their loft. The series revolves around their evolving friendships, romantic adventures, and very hilarious banter. It’s the funniest comfort show you could watch while highlighting the awkwardness of finding your chosen family.

4. Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls is the absolute comfort show for the fall/winter season. It reminds me of all things cozy, cute, and comfy! It is centered around Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, Rory Gilmore, and their life in the small town of Stars Hollow. It depicts the navigation between school, careers, growing up, and handling complicated relationships with family and friends.

These are some of the coziest and most comforting shows to watch during this season, whether you need a pick-me-up or simply want a relaxing night in. It’s like putting on your old favorite sweatshirt, instantly comfortable and familiar!
