The Ultimate Disney+ Movie Watchlist for Your Thanksgiving Break

Like many of us, I was thrilled when Disney+ dropped this month. Even though sharing the membership with two friends cost me $20 for the whole year, this was a small price to pay considering I now have every disney show I watched growing up on my phone.

Alongside episodes of Lizzie McQuire, That’s So Raven, and Hannah Montana, I have also been watching Disney movies. Though I probably should be doing my homework, I’ve re-watched over 10 Disney movies instead. To keep all my neglected homework and studying from being for naught, I decided to compile a list of Disney+ movies that will be perfect for your Thanksgiving break/finals procrastination weekend.

Disney Princesses

If you loved everything glitter and magic back when you were six, it's time to see Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Snow White, Beauty & The Beast, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty all over again. If you haven’t seen the new Disney Princess movie, Moana, this movie would be a great addition to your watchlist as well.

Disney Pixar

I personally am partial to Pixar movies. Maybe it’s the life-like animation that sparks my interest or the characters’ creative motions, but either way, Pixar is my life. Most of us have probably seen Cars 1 and maybe Cars 2, but I imagine most haven’t seen Cars 3. In addition to Cars 3, you should watch Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory if you have yet to see them. Other Pixar classics you should look into include Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, all the Toy Storys, Wall-E, and Monsters Inc.

Disney TV Originals

I’m not sure about everyone else, but I loved watching Disney Original movies when I was younger. There’s something so magical about watching your favorite Wizards character play a princess or your favorite Sonny with a Chance character play a singer at a music camp. My top favorites are the Princess Protection Program, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, The Suite Life Movie, Teen Beach Movie 1&2, High School Musical (all of them, duh), and Dadnapped.

90s Disney Movies

Shuffling through the 90s and 2000s titles, I found old movies I loved as a kid, like The Sandlot (which was filmed in Sandy, Utah people), Herbie: Fully Loaded with Lindsay Lohan, Ice Princess, ALL THE PRINCESS DIARIES, the old and the new Parent Traps, and Holes

Christmas Movies

For those who consistently watch classic Christmas movies after or even before Thanksgiving, Dinsey+ has all the Home Alones and Narnia, if you’re a weird person who thinks that it's a Christmas movie. Disney+ also has 12 Dates of Christmas, I’ll be Home for Christmas, and all the Santa Clauses. For those who like the specifically Disney Christmas movies, there is The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Nightmare before Christmas, and Mickey’s Christmas. I also really love Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas

There, now you have hours of movie watching to do instead of studying or interacting with your weird family members. Enjoy a bit of cocoa and Disney before the stress of finals and the business of the holiday season hits you.
