Three Brunch Spots That Are a Must This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Salt Lake City is full of so many hidden gems, especially when it comes to weekend brunch spots. With a city full of people and workplaces, there is bound to be a wide array of options to choose from, and it can be overwhelming when choosing a dining location. Based on my own experience, I created a list of appealing restaurants and went through a trial and error process to find the best brunch spots in the city. I thought I would share my top three gems so you can get to the good stuff in half of the time. So if you’re looking for your new brunch hangout, keep reading and get out there this weekend!

One of the most important parts of the weekend brunch to me is good coffee; Oasis Cafe has that and so much more. With a large drink menu ranging from coffee to mimosas, everyone will find something that fits their taste. Additionally, the breakfast food here is amazing. There are so many classic options, like eggs benedict and huevos rancheros. My personal favorite is the homemade breakfast potatoes they serve with most of their meals. To make this cafe even better, this location has a great outside touch that will make you feel like you are in an oasis while you are actually in the middle of the hustle and bustle that takes place in downtown Salt Lake City.

A second favorite around the city is a cute little restaurant called Eggs in the City. This spot has a great amount of outdoor seating, which is perfect for the cooler weather that is coming this fall. The menu is full of customer favorites, one of which is their cinnamon roll pancakes. Served on a silver platter, these giant pancakes are not only Instagram worthy, but they’re also big enough to take home extras for breakfast the next day. This location also has many skillet options to choose from that are equally delicious if you are more of a savory than sweet kinda gal. Eggs in the City was a win for me and my friends, and I am sure it will be for yours too.

If you are looking for a short day trip, the third brunch spot that made the list is a quick drive from campus to Park City. Although it is a little further from the downtown area, The Bridge Cafe and Grill is well worth it. Located in the heart of Main Street Park City, this location has a great view of the shops and the mountain landscape close by. If you opt to visit The Bridge during the wintertime, you can even see the skiers coming down the Utah slopes while eating. This small brunch spot has great coffee and a breakfast and lunch menu so that you can choose exactly the food you are in the mood for. A customer favorite at this location is called the Burrhino, which is their rendition of a breakfast burrito, and it’s delicious.

Wherever your next brunch adventure takes you, may you drink lots of great coffee and eat tall stacks of pancakes. Happy brunching!
