Staying in Utah for Spring Break? Here are 5 Things You Can Do

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Not everyone has the luxury of traveling for the Spring Break vacation, but we are fortunate enough to live in a state that has so much to offer. If you don’t have the funds or the time, or if you just don’t want to travel, no worries! You can still make it fun while staying in Utah!  So grab your friends, or plan a solo trip, and make the most of the vacation! Here are 5 ideas of how to make your spring break fun and memorable, while still staying in the state.

Delicate Arch- Arches National Park

Located only 5 hours away is Arches National Park. The Delicate Arch is one of Utah’s most recognized and famous landmarks, and it is breathtaking. You get unbelievable scenery, and can even capture some awesome shots for your Instagram. Do it for the gram.

Angel’s Landing Hike- Zion National Park

We are so lucky to have so many national parks right in our own backyard! Located 7 ½ hours away, this is a little longer of a trip, but most definitely worth it. Angel’s Landing is located in Zion National Park and is an exquisite hike. Angel’s Landing is for all hikers, from beginners to experts. It offers breathtaking views, and a good workout! So pack up your backpack, and head on out for a hike where the Angels Land!

Historic Main Street- Park City, Utah

Park City is a delightful “getaway” for those who cannot travel very far for the vacation. Historic Main Street is quaint, quiet and adorable. It has plenty of restaurants for fine dining or a quick bite to eat. It also has some locally owned businesses, and other known retailers located along Main Street. It’s truly a fun place to escape to for the day! Plus, on the way up there are the Tanger Outlets for those of you who really love shopping, and a good deal!

Gorgoza Park- Park City, Utah

This is another option for those who can’t or don’t want to travel far, but still want a fun little adventure. Gorgoza Park is a fun place to go tubing, and add a little excitement into your day! Dependent on the weather, and how much snow is still up in Park City, can make or break this activity. But if the weather is permitting, go for it! It won’t disappoint!

Any ski resort in Utah

Utah is blessed with “The Greatest Snow on Earth” and we need to take advantage of it! Although day passes for ski resorts can get a little pricey, it is definitely worth it! Travel to any one of the resorts located less than an hour away from Salt Lake, and you will be guaranteed to have a great time.

Staying home doesn’t have to be boring. Get some much-needed R and R, while still having a fun adventure!
