Graduation Is Upon Us

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming all of you collegiettes back to school and wishing you all an amazing year! Well, we hope you did have an amazing and memorable year, especially for all of our senior collegiettes. You did it! It’s time to graduate!

This year the University of Utah’s class of 2015 is the largest gradutating class the U has seen. There are 8,363 students graduating, which is about 400 more than last year. The 2015 class represents 24 Utah counties, 50 U.S. states, and 77 countries! How cool is that?!

Commencement will be held on Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. in the Jon M Huntsman Center. It’s open for all students, familities, and public. The year’s general commencement speaker is alumnus Robert A. McDonald, U.S. secretary of Veterans Affairs and former president and CEO of Proctor & Gamble, Co.
