As a female college student, managing the stressors of everyday life on top of school can be extremely challenging. Not knowing where to start or what to do to seek relief from sleepless nights and early mornings is only half the battle. I have found CBD oil to be the holy grail that I have been searching for. Not only does it target the annoying anxiety that exists in my head daily, but also helps to protect me against diabetic complications and so much more.

CBD oil does so much more than you think. As suggested, the oil helps in calming the worried mind, promoting peace and tranquility, but that’s not all. CBD oil also has incredible benefits supporting long-term health and disease prevention. Some of these benefits include anti-seizure properties, protection against neurological diseases, and even cancer treatment.

In an article by VeryWell Health, it is explained that CBD oil works in the brain by acting like surrounding molecules that bind to the receptor, turning up signaling, and boosting chemical reactions creating happiness. However, this turn of events only works in low doses of the oil due to its powerful nature and effects.

Everything is good in moderation and when taking CBD oil, it is crucial to know your dosage before ingesting it. Along with the topic of abuse, CBD oil has been recently used to help those with substance abuse disorders. While the oil does affect each addiction differently, it was proven that the oil “showed promise” in people with opioid addiction.

As one of the countless people that deal with anxiety, I can say that CBD oil has truly changed my life. Not only does it make me more calm, focused, and content, but when needed it helps me sleep too. If you are struggling with anxiety in any way, I would recommend trying CBD oil for yourself and feeling relief almost instantly — I promise that it’s worth it!

I'm a Junior at the University of Utah looking for journalism jobs possible to boost my resume. As I study the art of writing I am fascinated by the variety of expertise. I am fashion obsessed and would love to work within the fashion community one day. I am also the current project manager for HER Campus and love every second. As such, I hope to attend Parson's School of design and acquire a master's degree after my time here at the U. I enjoy taking writing courses, entrepreneurship courses, and ethical courses.
