It’s that time of year again; Valentine’s Day can strike a cord for single people who aren’t planning dinner for the 14th or buying candy hearts but rather swiping on their dating apps to no prevail. The good news is, whether you have a S.O. or not, it’s Galentine’s Day this Tuesday. It’s a great time to celebrate the women in your life and let them know you love them! Here are four easy ideas for you and your Galentine(s)!

Your mom can be your Galentine!!!

Even if it’s only sending a Valentine’s themed Bitmoji or carving out some time in your schedule for a Facetime call, she’s been your Galentine since day one.

Be your own Galentine.

Not all of us take the proper time to practice self care. If you’re someone who is always putting others before yourself, take this Galentine’s to do something nice for yourself. Buy a bath bomb. Do a face mask. Give yourself a manicure. Watch a movie. Go to bed early! Whatever your time-consuming guilty pleasure is, do it.

Spread the love.

Buy some cheap Valentine’s cards that you used to give in third grade. Buy some heart-shaped suckers. Bake cookies. Let the people you like in your life know you’re thinking about them!

If you’re feeling cynical, host an anti-Valentine’s Day party.

Invite your closest cynical-love-hating friends, order pizza (or Thai, your pick.) Watch a cliche rom-com and complain about how annoying it is. Wear pink sweatpants. Sometimes we need to celebrate our romantic losses. It’s okay. Valentine’s season can be for hating love, too.

Whether you love or hate Valentine’s Day, there’s something for everyone on Galentine’s.
