If you didn’t already know, Solange Knowles got married to award winning video director Alan Ferguson.  Knowles and fiancé Ferguson tied the knot on Sunday, Nov. 16, after an entire weekend of pre-wedding festivities, including a movie night and the rehearsal dinner.

Approximately 100 guests were present including J. Crew Creative director and President  Jenna Lyons and Janelle Monae.  The ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity Church. Guests started arriving at 1:30 in different shades of white. Knowles and Ferguson rolled up to the church on white bicycles. Solange wore a beautiful off white Stephanie Rolland jumpsuit with a flowing cape attached.

After their arrival the happy couple went separate ways so that Solange could change into her Humberto  Leon  Kenzo floor-length gown with attached cape.

Once the ceremony ended the venue was transformed into the first reception area where guests enjoyed a four-course dinner. Then three large party buses  drove them to Esplanade Street to listen to the live band.  The party then moved to the Museum of Art for the second reception where Solange and her 10 year old son, Julez performed a dance routine choreographed to Rae Sremmurd’s popular song “No Flex Zone.”

The entire event was beautifully executed and showed how meticulous Solange was when planning it. Marriage is a celebration of love and family; it is clear that Solange , Alan, and Julez are on their way to a lifetime of happiness.
